Modern Slavery Statement

Our position on modern slavery and human trafficking.

01. About this statement

Parcel Studio Limited publishes this statement voluntarily. Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement from organisations with an annual turnover of £36 million or more. We are below that threshold, but we publish this because our clients are entitled to know how we operate, and because setting our position out now is easier than retrofitting it later.

Company name: Parcel Studio Limited

Company number: 17459633

Registered office: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX

02. Our business

Parcel Studio is a UK fulfilment and third-party logistics business. We store inventory for e-commerce brands based in the United States and Canada, pick and hand-finish their orders, and dispatch them to customers in the United Kingdom.

We are a small operation. We do not manufacture goods, we do not source products, and we do not operate outside the United Kingdom.

03. Our supply chain

Our supply chain is short and consists mainly of:

• Our location premises and its facilities providers

• Packaging materials suppliers — tissue, ribbon, wax, card and cartons

• Royal Mail, for outbound delivery

• Software providers, including our order management system and payment processor (Airwallex)

• Professional services, including accountancy and insurance

We recognise that packaging materials carry the highest inherent risk in that list, because paper, textile and wax products may originate from regions where labour standards are harder to verify.

04. Our people

Everyone working at Parcel Studio is directly engaged, paid at or above the National Living Wage, and provided with a written statement of employment particulars. We verify the right to work in the UK for every person before they start.

We do not use unpaid labour, and we do not engage workers through third-party labour providers or employment agencies. If that changes, this statement will change with it, because agency and temporary labour is where risk in warehousing most often sits.

05. What we do now

Being honest about our stage matters more than listing policies we have not implemented.

At present we:

• Verify right to work for every person we engage

• Pay at or above the National Living Wage

• Engage all staff directly, with no labour agencies or subcontracted warehouse labour

• Select packaging suppliers who can tell us where their materials come from, and give preference to UK and EU suppliers where the quality is equivalent

• Treat any credible concern raised with us as a matter for immediate investigation.

06. What we are building

We do not yet have a formal supplier audit programme, structured staff training, or a documented whistleblowing procedure. We are a young business and it would be misleading to claim otherwise.

Over the next twelve months we intend to:

• Introduce a written supplier code of conduct covering labour standards

• Ask new packaging suppliers to confirm their own modern slavery position before we place a first order

• Put a simple, documented route in place for anyone to raise a concern confidentially

• Brief everyone working at Parcel Studio on how to recognise and report signs of exploitation

We will report against these in next year's statement rather than quietly dropping them.

07. Raising a concern

If you have any concern about modern slavery or labour exploitation in our business or supply chain, contact us at info@parcelstudio.co.uk. Concerns are treated confidentially and investigated. Nobody raising a concern in good faith will be penalised for it.

You can also contact the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700, or the police on 101. In an emergency, call 999.

08. Approval

This statement is approved by the directors of Parcel Studio Limited and will be reviewed and reissued annually.
