Integration · eBay

eBay fulfilment for high-value goods.

eBay is where a lot of watch and jewellery volume still sits, and it's the platform where the fulfilment detail most often trips sellers up — because not every order ships the same way.

Authenticity Guarantee

Authenticity Guarantee changes where the parcel goes

If you sell watches or fine jewellery on eBay, some of your orders don't ship to your customer at all. They ship to eBay's authenticator first.

Watches listed in Wristwatches or Pocket Watches and sold at £1,500 or more are enrolled automatically. Between £500 and £1,499.99 it's optional, for a fee. Jewellery sold at £500 or more from Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Bvlgari, Chopard and Chanel is covered, as are unbranded pieces meeting eBay's material specifications.

You can't opt out. Items in eligible categories are enrolled by eBay, free of charge, whether you asked or not.

What that means operationally:

  • The parcel goes to an address eBay provides, not your buyer's
  • The label and the address differ from your standard flow
  • eBay's authenticator inspects it, generally within two business days, then forwards it on
  • Total time to the customer is longer, and the tracking tells a different story than a direct dispatch

Your maximum item value with us is £2,500, and watches are a core category — so the £1,500 to £2,500 band sits squarely in your range. We set up two dispatch paths at onboarding: one standard, one for authenticated items. That way the first £1,800 watch you sell doesn't become a scramble.

Tell us on the call which categories you list in and we'll build it in from day one.

The connection

How the connection works

Your eBay account connects to our Mintsoft OMS at onboarding.

Orders pull through automatically.

Tracking uploads back against the order. eBay's seller standards weight uploaded tracking and on-time dispatch, and Top Rated Seller status depends on them. Late tracking doesn't just annoy a buyer, it costs you the badge and the fee discount attached to it.

Stock updates as we dispatch, so a listed quantity matches the shelf.

Handling discipline

Set your handling time to match ours

We dispatch within two business days. Set your eBay handling time to the same. A listing advertising one-day handling against a two-day operation generates late dispatch and drags your seller standard down.

Insurance

Insurance on high-value eBay items

This matters more on eBay than anywhere else, because the average item value in your categories is higher.

Anything over £150 goes by Special Delivery as standard. Royal Mail's tracked compensation stops at £150, so above that an item would travel effectively uninsured and we won't dispatch one that way.

Special Delivery includes £750 cover, upgradable to £1,000 or £2,500. Our maximum item value is £2,500, matching Royal Mail's highest tier. Above that we arrange separate cover with you before your first dispatch.

One thing sellers consistently get wrong: Royal Mail compensates what the item cost you, not what it sold for. A watch you acquired at £900 and sold at £2,000 is covered for £900.

Pre-requisites

Before we connect

01

eBay account access to authorise the connection

02

SKUs matched between eBay and physical stock

03

A list of any categories subject to Authenticity Guarantee

04

Handling time set to two business days

Courier shipping is billed separately. You choose your carrier — we'd suggest Royal Mail for simplicity — and it isn't included in our per-unit fee.
